AVAYA AURA Session manager 5.2_Hardware

Session manager는 기존의 8510 Dell server와 S8800 server에 탑재 된다.

S8510은 기존 SM1.1 사용자에 한해 upgrade가 제공 되고,신규 사용자는 S8800 server만 사용 된다고 한다.

1u size server로 12G memory에 8개의 core processor가 탑재 된다.

SM 100 (TLS Accelerator – PCI card 형태 아래 그림 참조) 가 추가 되고,

50,000 SIP encrypted links(TLS)를 지원 한다고 한다.

 

OS는 Red Hat 5.3이 탑재 되며, 기존CM과는 달리 순수한 OS라고 한다.

AVAYA의 Modification이 전혀 가해 지지 않은…

 

Session Manager는 모든 enterprise의 SIP session을 연동 하기 위한 Software component이며,

System Manager는 control point를 단일화 하는데 목적이 있는 것 같다.

Session Manager는 Call admission control, Call redirection, Digit 분석, Dial plan 관리, Call account관리,

Toll by-pass, inter office routing, Least cost routing등을 핸들링 한다.

현재는 3개의 Session manager를 연동 가능 하며, 향후 10개 까지 확장 된다고 한다.
